Squares Fundraiser Setup
Make sure that a Paypal and/or Venmo account address is included in your manager profile, so that family/friends have digital donor options. If this is not entered on signup, click on the “edit your profile” button and submit. If you wish to handle donations in person, please leave the fields blank.
1. GETTING STARTED / Login to your manager dashboard, and click on “Build new squares fundraiser” and from there you can fully construct your squares page. You can finalize the price of squares, whether to have one set of numbers / or different numbers every quarter, and set the customized messaging on the squares page. If you don’t know the names of the football team’s yet, just include AFC/NFC, or TBD. You can adjust the teams in the “Edit Fundraiser” section once that is official.
2. PARTICIPATION / As a manager, from there you can either manually enter team friends/family into the fundraiser by clicking on the “add team members” tab, or you can simply share the public link to your squares fundraiser through email, text, and social media. Please note that ONLY the public link listed in the “share and promote your fundraiser” section of your manager dashboard will be accessible to visitors not logged in. Once a guest member accesses the link, enters their name and email and chooses their squares, they are immediately added to your team roster.
Please note that managers cannot claim squares while logged into their account. In the event that a manager wants to manually add a squares claim to the fundraiser, they need to simply add the name of the player requesting the squares, and their unique email. Please be aware that the manager cannot include their email in any squares claims. If you don’t know the requester’s email, just make one up (IE – john@smith.com).
3. DELETING PARTICIPANTS / If for any reason you need to remove squares claims from the fundraiser, just click on “remove members” in the manager dashboard and choose the name of the participant. This will remove their name from the board, and the squares in question will be made available once again.
4. DONOR STATUS ADJUST / To change a participant’s donor status in the "fundraiser backend" section, click on the “member payment statuses” tab and click on “set to paid” next to their names, or click the boxes and adjust statuses in bulk. This will change their status from red to green on the main board.
5. ENTERING NUMBERS / Once your board is full, it is time to add numbers. Click on the “add numbers” tab and you will have the option to enter randomly generated numbers in each of the vertical/horizontal boxes. You can do this, or enter them manually (from drawing results or other means). Do not enter numbers until the board is full and all participants are accounted for – this cannot be undone once saved!
6. ENTERING SCORES / Once numbers have been added and the game is live, the fundraiser can be switched to closed, and the option to enter scores after each quarter is made available.
